The word chakra comes from the Indian sanskrit and means vortex, spinning wheel and are also often referred to as looking like lotus flowers.

Chakras are the major centers of spiritual power in the human body and the openings for life energy to flow into and out of our aura.

Their function is to vitalize the physical body, to bring about the development of our self consciousness and are associated  with our mental, physical and emotional interactions.

Ajna along with Bindu are considered to correspond to the third eye and linked to the pineal gland which may inform a model of its envisioning...

“When we talk of "exploring the mystical," we are not trying to dig into creation, because if you dig into creation, it will only get more complex. It will not bring clarity; it will only bring more complexity. That is why the yogis looked in a different direction. We looked inward. If you look inward, a different dimension opens up. Now instead of things getting more complex, you get to clarity. It is because of this that we say that those who look inward have a third eye. They see things that others cannot see. They have brought a new clarity to life.”
Jaggi Vasudev, Of Mystics & Mistakes

The whole universe
appears as a dynamic web of inseparable energy patterns…
Thus we are not separated parts of a whole. We are a Whole.
Barbara Ann Brennan in Hands of Light

Blocked energy in the 7 Chakras (not blocked chakras) can often lead to illness, so... its great when we understand what can we do to keep the energy' s chakras flowing freely...

A chakra is deficient when the energy is closed up or blocked... and a chakra is overactive when the energy flow is not regulated  or excessively increased...

A Chakra balancing  means restoring a harmonious flow of energy across the chakras system... Chakra balancing  can be done by regular meditation, by Spiritual/Energy Healing, by regular breath work and by some others alternative and holistic medicine...

The use of Crystal' can also help a chakra balancing healing.

“Through systematic meditation one can awaken the third eye and touch the cosmic awareness. Sushumna nadi is the subtle pathway in the spinal cord which passes through the main psychic centers. The awakening of these centers means a gradual expansion of awareness, until it reaches the cosmic awareness. Each center has its own beauty and gracefulness. Through generations of ignorance and unconsciousness, this channel of awareness becomes obscured and hidden. Meditation is to become aware about this internal life energy. Meditation is the procedure to rearrange, harmonize, activate, and integrate the individual life energy with the cosmic life energy.”  Amit RayMeditation: Insights and Inspirations

The opening of the pineal brings the focus on power and the ability to do things with the mind and will. This equates to the rod in the Tarot, or the rod of the magician. However, there is still another chakra which is above the pineal, and that is the pituitary. The pituitary is the doorway to the Divine, and when it opens, coupled with the pineal, the two of them working together, create a light, a transformation of energies and a light body that helps the soul of the entity to enter into a totally different dimension. This would reflect into that which this Awareness has spoken of as the dimensional shift for humanity. Those who move beyond the stage of power or pineal level and accept the pituitary as the doorway to God or the doorway to the Divine, wherein the pineal yields and gives its energy and all that it has gathered to the pituitary, then the two of them merge together. The Bride and the Christ and the 2010 dimensional shift in Biblical terms the pineal and pituitary is called the Bride and the Christ, and these energies merging together crate an 8th chakras that is beyond the physical , above the head of the individual and beyond the physical realm of the earth and this is the higher dimension that is spoken of in reference to the future dimensional shift to which many entities will move.

The heart chakra is a bridge
between the lower chakras and the higher chakras.

Our beautiful Heart chakra rules our ability to give and receive it, our perception of love...

Within our Heart Chakra we can raise our consciousness through the power of love or lower our consciousness through the power of fear...

We have a LOWER  Heart chakra ... its color is green and rules unconditional love for all and a LIGHER  Heart chakra... its color is pink and rules human love.

Anahata is located at the center of the  seven chakras, in our most beautiful "Area" where spiritual and physical meet... The Heart chakra is to balance WISDOM and LOVE and when fully open, we are flowing with love, compassion and forgiveness...   Nisya Shakti

If you want to find the secrets of the universe,
think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.
Nikola Tesla

As we explore the aura and the chakras, it is important for us to view our journey not as revolutionary, but rather as very traditional. Chakras, as well as auras and electromagnetic fields, are as old as the earth itself. The chakra system, in fact, is a part of the ancient and lost mysteries. And, in the end, the chakra system in our bodies is how we find our way back to the most ancient mystery of all – God, the Oneness, the Omniscient. Rosalyn L. Bruyere in Wheels of Light

Once we begin to change our perception, our thinking, it's amazing how other things in our lives start changing also. The domino effect begins with the first step within ourselves. It's not esoteric; it's human energy. Kingsley Dennis

Alan Watts

Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they've got a second. Give your dreams all you've got and you'll be amazed at the energy that comes out of you.

Energy is the living, vibrating ground of your being, and it is your body's natural self-healing elixir, its natural medicine. This medicine, this energy medicine, feeds body and soul, and attending to it restores your natural vitality. Energy medicine is the science and the art of optimizing your energies to help your body and mind function at its best.
Donna Eden with David Feinstein in Energy Medicine for Women
