"Inhale the sacred fragrance of  enlightenment,
Feel the instant transformation in your aura,
thoughts and feelings"...

Fragrance guides me inward, bringing a deeper
clarity  when I am giving healing or when
I am meditating...

Smell is the most primal of our senses,
it can entice us, relax or stimulate us

and sometimes evokes memories...

Light the incense !
You have to burn to be fragrant.

Incense is made of aromatic resins and gums, such as frank incense and balsam. These are pounded into a powder and often mixed with substances as spices, flowers and treebark, to create certain fragrances for specific applications.

Charging incense before lighting it helps to activate our third eyes chakra :

Simply hold the sticks gently in your hands, visualize the outcome you wish to encourage and let your energy infuse the incense with your  intention...
...Then when you light it, it will release  your energy out into the atmosphere as it burns.

Incense sticks are a self help tool in spiritual healing
and are used for meditations, prayers and purification.

The fragrance of incense reinforces
the transcendence of the mass

The incense stick ashes itself,
And turns to smoke itself,
Just to give us its aroma...

Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart,
and the pleasantness of one's friend springs
from his earnest counsel1 up, 2 down.
 The Bible

I cannot see what flowers are at my feet,
Nor what soft incense hangs upon the boughs.

I take a baths all the time. I'll put on some music and burn some incense and just sit in the tub and think, Wow, life is great right now. Brian Austin

Orchid breathing incense into butterfly's wings

Matsuo Basho (C1689)

He came and received the scroll from the right hand of the one who sat on the throne. When he took it,the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb.  Each of the elders held a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the holy ones.     (Revelation 5:6-7)

In Nepal, the phenomenon is reversed. Time is a stick of incense that burns without being consumed. One day can seem like a week, a week, like months.Mornings stretch out and crack their spines with the yogic impassivity of house cats. Afternoons bulge with a succulent ripeness, like fat peaches. There is time enough to do everything - write a letter, eat breakfast, read the paper, visit a shrine or two, listen to the birds, bicycle downtown to change money, buy postcards, shop for Buddhas and arrive home in time for lunch. Jeff Greenwald

And then how I shall lie through centuries,
And hear the blessed mutter of the mass, And see God made and eaten all day long, And feel the steady candle-flame, and taste Good strong thick stupefying incense-smoke ! Robert Browning

"GODS loves fragrances”

That was a common saying among ancient Egyptians.

To them, the burning of incense was  a part of their worship...
